This is the original 5x7in painting "Larkspur, Flower of Mary," done in watercolor by Katrina Rose Harrington in May of 2024 when she did a flower study as she read through Fr. L. Gemminger's book, "Flowers of Mary," and painted one flower a day.
Excerpts from “Flowers of Mary.” by Fr. L. Gemminger, 1858.
“Man’s life on earth’s a warfare
From the cradle to the grave,
And he who longs for victory
Must battle like the brave.
Let larkspur be our emblem
And God our battle cry!
We’ll make no truce with evil,
But fight it till we die!”
