Grapes represent Christ's first miracle at The Wedding at Cana when he turned water into wine. According to my research, it isn't definitively known whether the wine was red or white, but for this piece, I chose grapes that would create a special white wedding wine that was likely to have been served at such a celebration. I love that the first miracle took place at a wedding; we chose this for the Gospel reading at our Nuptial Mass.
